			Location. The Radisson SAS Hotel Altstadt Salzburg is located in Salzburg, Austria, within 500 metres of Mozart's birthplace and Fortress Hohen Salzburg. Salzburg Airport is located five kilometres away and the Hauptbahnhof is within two kilometres. Hotel Features. Hotel Altstadt is set in a historic building dating from 1377 and built in a traditional Austrian style. The front desk is open around the clock to organise airport transport (surcharge), while a porter is available at the front of the hotel to assist guests with luggage. There is also a concierge desk which opens to assist guests with arranging tours, purchase theatre or concert tickets or arrange a babysitter. Getting there. The number 2 bus runs between the airport and Salzburg's main train station (Hauptbahnhof) every 10 minutes. Single tickets cost 1.80 EUR. There are buses to Bavaria and Tyrol. Taxis to Hotel Altstadt cost 20 EUR. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Salzburg's city centre is best explored on foot. The city is served by an inexpensive tram and bus system, and there are numerous cycle paths. Driving is not advised for visitors, and cars are not allowed in some areas of the Old Town.

Driving directions. From Salzburg Airport.
Turn right to the Innsbrucker Bundesstrasse B1 and follow the road for 884 metres.
Cross the entrance to Salzburg city and follow the road B1 for another 1 kilometre.
Turn right onto the Maxglaner Hauptstrasse and follow for 1 kilometre.
Go straight through the Neutorstrasse for 900 metres.<br Cross the Hildmannsplatz and follow the road through the Sigmundstor.
After passing the Sigmundstor, follow the route crossing Herbert von Karajan Platz.
Go on to the Munzgasse and turn right into the Griesgasse.
Follow the Griesgasse for 350 metres.
Go straight on to the Rudolfskai for 50 metres, which will lead to Salzach entrance of the hotel.
