The former coaching inn, Das Triest, has been stylishly redesigned by Sir Terence Conran and is set in the centre of Vienna, 200 metres from the metro and 1 kilometre from the museum quarter. The 72 contemporary guestrooms are decorated in neutral shades with chrome and glass furnishings. S-Bahn overground trains run at least every 30 minutes connecting the airport to the city centre and U-Bahn. Karlsplatz subway station is 200 metres from the hotel. Buses depart from the airport to the City Air Terminal every 20 minutes. Other buses go to Südbahnhof and Westbahnhof railway stations and also to Bratislava and Budapest. Taxis are available outside the arrivals hall; approximate fare to the hotel is 35 EUR.
Driving directions: From the airport head towards the city centre. At the State Opera House, turn left into 'Operngasse'. Take the first left into Kleine Margarethenstrasse. The hotel is at the end of the street on the right-hand-side.
