Opened in 2001, the Hotel Ca' Pisani is housed in a 16th century Venetian palace, 150 metres from the renaissance glories of the Accademia Galleries and the Grand Canal. The 29 guestrooms over three floors have a mixture of art deco and modern furniture, are decorated in neutral tones and have climate control and ceiling fans. All have dial- up Internet connections, satellite television and direct- dial phones. Guests benefit from safes, minibars, complimentary newspapers and bottled water. Private bathrooms come with telephones, hair dryers, bathrobes, slippers, makeup mirrors and bidets. Cribs are available and in-room childcare is on offer for a surcharge.
The hotel features an unusual combination of art deco and modern decor and furnishings. Guests benefit from complimentary Internet access in public areas and free newspapers in the lobby, whilst there is also a small, wood-decked roof terrace where guests can relax. Multilingual staff at the 24-hour front desk (which has a safe-deposit box) can offer advice about touring the sites of Venice. The hotel features a steam room and free use of a nearby fitness centre. La Rivista Restaurant features an original 1940s bar, bamboo floors and red leather sofas; the cuisine is traditional Italian with modern touches. The Peggy Guggenheim collection is 250 metres from the hotel and the Ca' Rezzonico Museum, featuring exhibits about 18th century Venice, is 300 meters away. The nearest metro station is Accademia, 150 metres from the hotel and the Venice Marco Polo Airport is 20 kilometres away, an approximate driving time of 30 minutes.
