Location. The all-inclusive Gran Bahia Principe Tulum stands along a white-sand-and-rock Caribbean beach in Akumal, Mexico. A shopping and entertainment complex is adjacent to the resort.
Hotel Features. The Mayan-inspired Gran Bahia Principe Tulum was designed by the Mexican architect Fernando Quirate. The resort's primary seaside restaurant hosts international buffets, while other dining options include a gourmet restaurant, a Mexican specialties venue and a seafood grill. A 24-hour fast-food restaurant is located on the beach where soft drinks, only, are served after midnight. The resort boasts three swim-up bars and a lobby bar. Another bar is located at an amphitheater, where shows and cultural programs are performed. Leisure amenities include an outdoor pool, two relaxation pools with spa tubs, children's swim areas, a solarium and a private beach. The property includes five tennis courts and a water sports center. The sea-view Marine Spa health center offers three massage treatment rooms, two saunas, two spa tubs and fitness equipment. Shops stock sundries and gifts. The Gran Bahia Principe Tulum encircles the central Hacienda Doņa Isabel entertainment area. The Principito Club caters to children ages 4 to 12 with supervised indoor games and outdoor activities.
