The Hacienda Puerta Campeche
Area: Mexico / Campeche
Location. Housed in a 17th-century colonial building in the city center of Campeche, Mexico, The Hacienda Puerta Campeche is located eight kilometers from Campeche International Airport. This historic hotel is located five blocks from the city's Main Square, which sits adjacent to Yucatan's oldest cathedral, the 16th-century Catedral de la Concepcion. The ocean lies seven blocks away, and the San Miguel Fortress, which is home to the Mayan Culture Museum, is located five kilometers from the hotel. Hotel Features. La Guardia, the hotel's on-site restaurant, serves Mexican-style seafood, and a grand selection of tequilas and rums can be found at the hotel's Bar la Ballesta. Another spot of relaxation exists at the hotel pool, which is surrounded by blooming gardens.
Guestrooms. The three guestrooms and 11 suites at The Hacienda Puerta Campeche feature satellite television, multi-line telephones, balconies, bathrobes, coffeemakers, complimentary newspapers, in-room safes, minibars and designer toiletries. High-speed Internet access is available in guestrooms for a fee.
Expert Tip. When dusk fades into darkness, many residents stroll along the waterfront past the silent rusty cannons that once protected the area.
