Location. The architectural integrity of Mexico's colonial villages is honored at the NH Krystal Vallarta, the entrance of which is detailed by saffron-hued domes, wrought-iron street lamps, brick pathways and brightly splashing fountains. This tropical, 32-acre resort in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico stands two kilometers (one mile) south of Marina Vallarta's 18-hole golf course, 500-slip marina, boutiques, galleries and cafés.
Hotel Features. The resort's extensive grounds include separate pool complexes. The primary pool complex offers interconnected swimming areas with a children's pool, two swim-up bars, shallow-water tile lounges and an activities area. Young vacationers thrill to a waterslide located in the second pool complex that features a children's section and toddlers' pool. The resort's sun-washed beach stretches 402 meters (440 yards) where thatched-roof palapas (huts) provide respite from the sun's rays. An on-site salon offers beauty and massage services while ocean breezes refresh exercise enthusiasts as they maintain work- out schedules at the shaded, open-air fitness area. Guests of the hotel can stay in touch via an Internet café that contains computers with high-speed Internet connections.
Guestrooms. This resort houses 402 guestrooms and suites. Deluxe rooms and Junior suites are located in three-story buildings without elevators. Villa room guests stay in one-story, three-unit accommodations that share a covered, skylit patio with a garden, sunbathing terrace and a plunge pool.
Expert Tip. NH Krystal Club guestrooms are located in the resort's newest four-story oceanfront building. NH Krystal Club guests have exclusive access to family and children's pools as well as six, eight-person spa tubs. Accommodations include bathrobes and 27-inch flat-screen televisions. Complimentary deluxe continental breakfasts and evening appetizers/cocktails are served in an air- conditioned lounge or outdoors by the beach. Gala dinners for Christmas and New Year's have a surcharge.
Renovation Notice:
The hotel is constructing a new guestroom tower. There may be noise disturbance and visible construction on site. The estimated completion date is December 31, 2008. This date is subject to change.
