Location. The Bear Creek Lodge is nestled in the Mountain Village area of Telluride, Colo. Mountain Village offers restaurants, shops, galleries, a performing arts center and direct access to over 1,700 acres of ski terrain. The Telluride Ski Resort is one-half mile from the property. The lodge is less than one mile from the Telluride Golf Club, featuring an 18-hole golf course surrounded by 14,000-foot mountain peaks. Downtown Telluride, Colo. is 10 miles from the property.
Features. This ski-in/ski-out resort offers private, funicular access to the surrounding ski slopes. The lodge is built around a central Grand Hall, and the interior features exposed, dark wood beams and river-rock accents. Wines and appetizers are served each day during afternoon receptions. A business center is available. The property includes a heated outdoor pool, three spa tubs and a sauna. Concierge services are provided 24 hours a day, and include planning day trips, arranging activities for families with children and making dinner reservations. A fitness center with treadmills, elliptical machines and stationary bicycles is on site. Pets are not allowed at the property.
Guestrooms. The Bear Creek Lodge offers 48 units with mountain views. Accommodations include fully-equipped kitchens and living rooms with gas fireplaces. Bathrooms feature jetted tubs, Aveda salon products and bathrobes. Televisions, VCRs, DVD players and complimentary wireless Internet access are provided. Daily housekeeping is available. All units include in-room safes.
Expert Tip. Mountain Village is connected to Telluride by a three-stage gondola transportation system. Rides on the gondola are free, and feature panoramic views of the San Juan Mountains and surrounding forests.
